The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover remains closed for an extended refurbishment at Magic Kingdom, but today we spotted a couple of Cast Members riding the attraction.
The PeopleMover has been undergoing various tests, including crash testing, over the past few months.
People riding the PeopleMover is a good sign that the nearly year-long refurbishment is finally finishing up.
Watch our video of today’s test with passengers below.
The PeopleMover closed in early March, before the rest of the park and unrelated to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its refurbishment has been extended multiple times, but it’s currently scheduled to reopen next month.

The people mover is a favorite in my family among all age groups. I hope it is open the next time we go. I wondered if it were closed to finally transition to allowing wheel chair bound guests on board or to keep people from getting sneak peaks at TRON lightcycle.
