We’ve been working our way through the event treats now available at the Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida for Mardi Gras, and today we got a chance to try a new Mardi Gras cookie.

“Masquerade” Cookie – $3.49

The cookie comes decorated with a sweet yellow frosting and a green masquerade mask on top that is actually a smaller cookie.

There are also Mardi Gras chocolate candy pearls placed around the mask. Do beware, the chocolate candies were super hard. Our poor teeth were not prepared for them to be that solid.

While this dessert didn’t impress us when looking at it in the case, once we picked it up and felt that soft, crumbly cookie, we knew we made the right decision to get one.

This sweet treat ended up being way better than we expected it to be!

The sweet cookie icing was soft and just a little bit gooey, and went amazing with the fresh cookie underneath. Our only gripe is that the icing may be a little too sweet.

The smaller mask cookie on top was the perfect topping for this delightful treat.

The Masquerade Cookie is super sweet, but if you’re in need of a sugar rush then this is the solution for you. We were mind blown on how fresh and homemade tasting this was.

We highly encourage you to give this Masquerade Cookie a try if you’re visiting Universal Studios Florida. We’ve also tried the Mardi Gras King Cake from the Tribute Store!
