Imagineer Zach Riddley Provides Details on the Creation of the New Main Entrance Background Music Loop at EPCOT

Imagineer Zach Riddley just gave an inside look into the creation of the new main entrance music that debuted at EPCOT this week, via Instagram. While some fans were disappointed to hear that the new loop is not an original composition, Riddley states that the new mix features “bold themes with inspiring arrangements that set the stage for exploration, celebration, and discovery.”

Zach Riddley commented that Associate Music Producer Leeann Hsueh drew her inspiration for the project from the “breathtaking views and aspirational architecture of the original EPCOT.” The music features a hybrid orchestra, utilizing a combination of live musicians and electronic elements.

The new main entrance music is just one addition to a newly reimagined EPCOT. Alongside the music are brand new pavilion flags, a reimagined fountain, and new entrance plaza lighting.

  1. Overall I’m disappointed in the new music. Some of the selections remind me of cheap production music used in commercials. I’m hoping it’s just a placeholder while a new score is produced with tribute to old and current pavilions.
