VIDEO: Listen to the New Main Entrance Background Music Loop at EPCOT

We reported earlier this morning that new EPCOT main entrance music is debuting today alongside 12 pavilion flags. This is all a part of the new reimagined entrance to the park, which includes a brand new fountain, pavilion flags, and updated Leave a Legacy display. The entrance to the park will soon be a part of the World Celebration neighborhood as the park undergoes a substantial refurbishment.

It was an extremely windy morning, but we were still able to grab a video showcasing the new main entrance music. Check out the first “listen” in the videos below:

Sadly, the music is not an original composition and marks the first time that music from attractions around the park does not welcome guests. At least the music does feel epic and inspiring, aligning with the spirit of the park.

  1. As sad as it is to see the old music go, it’s always nice to hear a new Disney Parks composition/arrangement.
    It still feels suitably Epcot.

  2. Man…. I can’t believe it. They should still run the old EPCOT entrance sound track along with the new one.

  3. I’m heartbroken about the previous loop going away, as it has long been my favorite music loop in all of Walt Disney World. But it makes sense to introduce a new music loop for the updated entrance, and I’ve very glad to hear that it still sounds suitably majestic. I look forward to hearing it for myself the next time I visit.

  4. Future World is in shambles, but Disney “fixes” the music which was a timeless masterpiece. Another classic example of a company “fixing” something that is not broken. In this case replacing it with generic filler in place of iconic themes composed based off of music from the park’s legacy of attractions. Disheartening and disillusioning.

I understand that things move evolve, but they should not devolve. Over the years the music loop went through a number of changes to add additional segments or rearrangements of existing material. However, the corpus of loop and its unique rendition of EPCOT theme music composed for the park coupled with attraction music derivations remained true and a treasured touchstone of the park experience. Why even change it if you are too cheap and lazy to compose an original composition with indelible ties to the park as its predecessor was?

  5. Jessica, I agree that it’s sad without the original music that welcomed us for so long. But as you said, it’s still really cool sounding! I look forward to hearing the entire loop!

  6. Wait until they throw some sod and bushes down where Innoventions used to be, then we will all be impressed. Maybe next they can put some cool lighting on the alcohol kiosks that are placed every 20 feet.

  7. I’m sorry but this new music sucks. It’s incredibly generic and doesn’t inspire me in any way. The old loop sparked my curiosity while this just sounds like royalty free “inspiring” orchestral music.
