Welcome back, everyone! We’re here at Disneyland Resort the day before the grand opening of “A Touch of Disney” ticketed event. Props and signage have been placed along the tram route in preparation for the event, the Downtown Disney District Easter Eggstravaganza has begun, and there are a few pieces of new merchandise to see. Join us on our latest trip!
We entered around 10:30 AM, and there wasn’t too much of a wait at temperature screenings.
Earlier this month, a Raya and the Last Dragon mural designed by Imagineer Xiao Qing Chen debuted at Downtown Disney District.
Today, they offered Legacy Passholders a signed print by Qing when they took a photo at the mural.
Sadly, this only lasted for the day, and no more prints are available.
Over the past few days, the Star Wars Trading Post has not been utilizing a virtual queue.
The Disney Home store had no wait.
With Disney California Adventure closed for entry, it felt a bit more crowded around Downtown Disney District’s seating areas.
Sephora had a small line of guests waiting to shop.
Autopia vehicles can now be seen along the tram route from the Downtown Disney District loading station.
These will be used as props for guests to take pictures with on their way from the parking structure to the event.
We can’t wait to see what other options are offered!
A new sign featuring reversible arrows will help direct guests to the correct parking garage as this is where guests would normally load into the trams at the end of their visit to the parks.
In our last photo report, we mentioned that the ropes surrounding Disneyland were dropped and guests are now able to walk right up to the gates.
There wasn’t much activity in the Esplanade today.
We peeked into Disney California Adventure to see if there was any preparation for the event.
While we didn’t see much, we could slightly hear the events background music playing through the park.
With Easter right around the corner, Disneyland Resort is now offering a new Eggstravaganza scavenger hunt.
Pick up your game board and stickers for $7.99* (plus tax) at select merchandise locations, including the newly reopened WonderGround Gallery. Then let the hunt begin! Search for special hidden “eggs” themed to Disney characters. Record your discoveries by placing the corresponding sticker on the themed Eggstravaganza game board.
Whether you choose to hunt for eggs or not, return your game board to World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders to collect a special surprise – one of six collectible eggs!
The six featured characters are Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip, and of course, Dale. They are dressed up in their Easter outfits.
If hunting for the 12 Easter Eggs around the Downtown Disney District isn’t enough, a set of three “it’s a small world” easter eggs are also available for purchase at World of Disney.
Good luck hunting!
A new Easter Bunny Mickey is now available inside World of Disney.
If you squeeze his stomach, his ears will raise and lower.
A small Easter 2021 patch can be found on the bottom of Mickey’s foot. You can take home Mickey for $26.99.
A new Mickey rose gold shimmer hat has also made it’s way over to World of Disney.
The front Mickey emblem has rose gold sequins.
This is available for $27.99.
There are also two new simple Mickey Mouse mugs priced at $19.99 each.
The navy mug has an allover glaze.
The pink mug has a matte finish.
That’s all for this visit! Make sure you stay tuned in the upcoming days for full coverage of “A Touch of Disney” and more. Thanks for following along!
