Greetings, World Travelers, from a lovely but windy day here at EPCOT! It was a quiet day here, but we enjoyed taking in all the sights, sounds, and, periodically, tastes of the new International Flower & Garden Festival. It felt a bit like the calm before the storm as we didn’t see any evidence of larger than normal crowds ahead of next week’s anticipated swell for Spring Break. We found some things we’d like to show you, so let’s get started!
At the entrance, just outside of Gateway Gifts, concrete work is still being done, and is surrounded by planters and a small section of construction scrim wall.
Demolition to skeletal remains of Innoventions West took a leap forward recently, with large sections of the metal framing being removed. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Wood paneling was being added to the right side of the facade of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind this morning.
Later in the day, we saw paneling going up on the left side of the facade.
Nearby in the Innoventions East building, additional glass was added, which we got a peek at due to the high winds today. This spot is near the former breezeway close to the current entrance for Mouse Gear.
The concrete work in the France Pavilion seems to be ongoing, with this area looking unfinished and patchy.
The concrete that was poured fills in the space of cobblestones that were cut out, but they weren’t fully removed. It appears this concrete is only a temporary solution.
Backstage, more concrete work is underway behind the France Pavilion expansion. A large pit just outside of the gate was being worked in and the tanker was pumping something into the pit at one point.
On the bridge at the Italy Pavilion, we found several pieces of the bannisters wrapped in padded scrim. It was unclear why, or for how long they would remain wrapped.

We found an unexpected and impressive line to enter the lower level of The Land Pavilion today. After a minute or two wait, we were able to go about our business, but we were surprised at how quickly the line formed.

We found Mary Poppins greeting guests in the Tea Garden at the United Kingdom Pavilion today, and stopped for a chat. She’s always lovely to talk to!
The outdoor merchandise area in the China Pavilion has reopened, with limited displays available.

We found a late comer to Flower & Garden Festival merchandise today, with this new phone case featuring Minnie Mouse in all her floral glory. It is currently available at the Festival Market near the Mexico Pavilion for iPhone XR / 11 / 11 Pro Max, and retails for $29.99.
