It’s another fantastic day to be at the Universal Orlando Resort. Despite being a Friday afternoon with beautiful weather, the parks were not nearly as busy as we anticipated. Our first stop of the day was into the new Universal Legacy Store. We were quite surprised to find even more props have been added around the store.

It’s starting to feel like a museum of theme park history in here! Hagrid’s Motorbike has arrived, along with other props.

It’s really exciting to walk in and see so many new things every day.

We could spend all day here. Universal has really done a fantastic job showcasing their history.

The personalization area in the center of the room now has signage and we noticed a few machines have been installed. This store has impressed us, beyond our expectations, and is our new favorite place to visit in CityWalk!

Making our way into Islands of Adventure, we discovered that the Jurassic World VelociCoaster height requirement has been added to the measurement area outside of the park. We can’t be far away from an opening now!

While taking the bypass bridge between the Lost Continent and Jurassic Park, we happened to hear the Jurassic World background music testing in the area. Take a listen here.

Tables have been removed from the pathway as well as the Jurassic Park vehicle. There’s a lot of room in this area now, and something tells us they’re going to need all the room they can get once the attraction opens. Yesterday, we found lockers had been installed for the attraction in the Jurassic Park Discovery Center.

Painting continues around the Discovery Center, with a beige base coat over the bones along the side of the building. We expect these will be refreshed and vibrant soon.

The sign outside of the Watering Hole is also missing. A lot is happening around here!

These Charlie and Blue figures are really awesome. You can find them in Jurassic Outfitters for $50 each.

It’s a very hot afternoon, so we would totally be willing to wait 55 minutes for Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges!

Just a little bit of appreciation for the Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

We stopped into Confisco Grille for lunch and dined upstairs in the UOAP Lounge. The Mardi Gras decorations up here are a nice touch!

A few new menu items have been added, so we decided to give the Beetroot Hummus a try. It was a really nice alternative to some of the heavy stuff we’ve been eating in the parks lately. If you’re looking for a nice appetizer, we definitely recommend this one. Though it’s served with some pita and lavosh, but there’s a lot of dip, so you may need to order more for an additional charge.

This Team Member was having fun with a bubble wand and it made us smile!

Universal Studios Florida was also relaxed — only a 15-minute wait for Fast and Furious: Supercharged!

This “Let Yourself Whoa!” shirt is really nice, but we really thought Universal was all about “woah”. Either way, it’s a fun shirt you can get at the Universal Studios Store for $25.

We’re suckers for anything with the retro logo, including these bags of rock crystal candy.

Bruce is still missing from San Francisco. Let’s hope he doesn’t end up in the Universal Legacy Store!

That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s been a busy day, so we’re going to get out of here. Make sure you stay tuned to WDWNT and Universal Parks News Today for more updates!
