The first actual decoration for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary has been hung on Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom.

The Castle is being transformed for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” beginning October 1st, 2021, an 18-month long celebration.

We got our first look at the decorations courtesy of Walt Disney Imagineering just yesterday.

Let’s take a closer look at the faux bunting so we can take in all of the details.

The numerical 50 logo for the anniversary event can be found at either end of the decorative piece.

Shimmering jewels are at the center of ornate pieces that resemble architectural touches on Cinderella Castle.

The banner is covered in gold accents that sort of remind me of the original decorations for The Year of a Million Dreams. That decor was not so affectionately referred to as “Pixie Vomit” at the time. This certainly seems to work better though.
