PHOTOS: Scaffolding Goes Up, Roof Work Continues on MouseGear and New Restaurant Facilities in EPCOT

As the former Innoventions East prepares to become part of World Celebration, construction plugs along. The building used to house MouseGear, Electric Umbrella, and Innoventions. While a smaller, temporary version of MouseGear still exists, Electric Umbrella has closed permanently.

The new scaffolding in the breezeway stands tall and ready. It doesn’t appear that new work on the ceiling has begun yet.

On the other side of the building near the play area, another crew is atop the roof as well. They were actively working as a burning metal smell was present.

More roof work continues above the old Centorium entrance.

More fiberglass sheathing is being installed by the new windows.

In addition to a remodeled MouseGear, the Electric Umbrella building will be home to a new Starbucks location and a new quick-service restaurant.
