We’ve seen lots of enhanced safety precautions since Walt Disney World reopened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This morning, we noticed that plexiglass dividers were added to the loading area of The Barnstormer rollercoaster in Storybook Circus.
Guests wait behind each numbered door to board their row on the coaster. Now, a plexiglass divider is installed to help limit face to face contact while waiting.
The ride vehicles don’t have any plexiglass dividers themselves, likely for safety reasons due to the speed of the coaster.
Guests are being loaded in every row to fill up each train this morning. Formerly, every other row was utilized to seat guests to allow further physical distancing. With spring break approaching, hopefully this will eliminate longer wait times.
Other attractions are utilizing the plexiglass dividers as well, such as the queue for Pirates of the Caribbean. The boats for “it’s a small world” also have plexiglass dividers to help keep guests safe while riding the attraction.
What a complete waste of time and money, not to mention the ruining of the theming.
“Due to the speed of the coaster”. 🤣
