The EPCOT entrance experience is getting a makeover. In addition to new main entrance music and pavilion logo flags, EPCOT has debuted new entrance plaza lighting this evening.
The entrance lighting and fountain lighting are tied together. The colors cascade from one lighting system to the other.
These two photos, taken about 20 minutes apart, show how the lighting changes.
Here, the pylons are illuminated in white. The fountain’s ring lighting has blues, purples, and reds.
A short time later, the fountain lighting elements are mostly blue.
The fountain pylons can be independently lit.
The fountain’s ring lighting effect is created by lights installed on the outer ring, which also retains the water.
Lighting above the restrooms has not been included in the new lighting package.
The EPCOT entrance is awash in vivid colors.
The pavilion flags fly in front of a colorful Spaceship Earth.
Even at dusk, we can see the lights pulsate along the entrance plaza roofline at times.
Spaceship Earth is also slated for new exterior lighting.
The new lighting is visible just beyond the pavilion flags and entrance fountain.
The LED lights change color as they chase towards Spaceship Earth. Sometimes they just form rainbow patterns that mimic the new fountain.
The lights are in sync with the entrance fountain lighting and the new music soundtrack. The color possibilities are nearly endless.

Imagineer Zach Riddley gave more insight into this new lighting package, which can be read here.
