PHOTOS: New Monorail Station Platform Taking Shape at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

We have been keeping a close eye on the ongoing refurbishment of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The Magic Kingdom area resort has many changes coming down the pipeline including Moana-themed rooms, a new Great Ceremonial House, and a new Monorail station. We swung by the tropical oasis to take a peek at the latest progress being made.

Work on the Monorail platform is coming along which will reconnect Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to the Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and the Transportation and Ticket Center with two Monorail lines.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is expected to reopen to guests this summer. It remains to be seen if the new Monorail station and Ceremonial House will be opening along with the rest of the resort.
