Pavement throughout Magic Kingdom is being replaced, ensuring the park looks its best ahead of its 50th anniversary later this year. In Fantasyland, we’ve seen some stonework be replaced, but it looks like more is being added elsewhere.
We saw this fresh slab of pavement yesterday by Friar’s Nook. It has several lighter-colored spots that seem to indicate new stones will be placed there. The stonework that was previously removed in front of Peter Pan’s Flight was in a large circle, but the pattern on this pavement is more random.
Today, more new pavement had been laid, and the possible stone pattern was continued. Lighter spots and a line stretch across the pink pavement, connecting the stonework on either side.
Pavement in EPCOT is also being replaced as part of a larger overhaul of the park’s entrance. Keep checking WDWNT for updates on all Walt Disney World refurbishments.
This is interesting as it modernizes the look and feel of the place.
