A section of stonework in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom has now been entirely removed and replaced with pavement.

The circle of stonework surrounded a drain in front of Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world”. The drain remains, but it is now encircled with plain pavement.

A large section of sidewalk remains blocked off today as new pavement dries.

This is just one of many sidewalks in Magic Kingdom that is being refreshed for the park’s 50th anniversary. Significant pavement work has also been ongoing at EPCOT following the reimagining of the park’s entrance.

  1. Is the stonework oval closer toward the Tangled Toilets still there? It is where the Skyway used to have a tower (see the first picture on this page: https://www.yesterland.com/skywaymk.html). I wanted to point that out to my family the next time we are there, but if it hasn’t been paved over yet, I’m sure it will be soon…
