PHOTOS: Themed Tarp Now Covers Backstage Gate Used for Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run Queue in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A gate leading to a backstage area that has been used to house a physically-distanced queue for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is now blocked off with a themed scrim at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

This gate next to First Order Cargo leads to a backstage area that has been used to maintain a physically distanced line for Millennium Falcon: Smuggers Run.

The gate is now blocked off for some refurbishment, presumably to fix the doors to the overflow queue or perhaps even to theme the area better to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, since it will likely need be used again. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking on our part…

The scrim is intricately detailed and had us doing a double-take that these weren’t actual doors.

Isn’t this going to be the entry port for visitors from the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser?

The tarp looks fantastic. Hopefully Millennium Falcon: Smuggers Run refurbishment will make it look even better.

Was just in the line earlier this week….I was disappointed at what an eyesore it was behind the gates. Its nice to hear of Disney re-vamping the socially distance queue areas.
