REVIEW: Easter Mini Bunny Cake Available This Weekend Only at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Happy Easter! We’ve been tasting and reviewing many of Walt Disney World’s Easter treats over the past couple of weeks, including an Easter dome cake at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and an Easter cupcake at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Today, we’re celebrating the holiday with an Easter mini cake at Contempo CafĂ© in Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

This is a more focused version of the dessert by the same name at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

The exterior is comprised of cute fondant, though we recommend skipping that and heading for the inside.

Instead of confetti cake, this Mini Bunny Cake reflects the flavor of the season with a carrot cake core. While not the softest or moistest cake Disney has ever put out, the consistency was excellent and the flavor mild.

The layer of buttercream icing outside of the cake paired wonderfully, adding some sweetness without becoming overly sugary.

The best element, though, is the cream cheese filling—there’s a reason it’s so often paired with carrot cake. The filling added the perfect amount of rich creaminess to balance the lightness of the buttercream icing.

This is a perfect Easter dessert and we hope it returns next year. Today, April 4th, is the last day this Mini Bunny Cake is available this year, so get it at Contempo Café while you still can!

Did you try any Easter treats at Walt Disney World this year, and if so, which one was your favorite? Let us know in the comments.
