World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT is busy this week with work ongoing at the site of the barges for “Harmonius.” Yesterday, we spotted the arrival of the primary pyrotechnic barges. Today, there was daytime testing of a large water fountain in front of the center barge.

We’ve seen water fountain tests before on the smaller, taco-shaped barges, which mimic the points of a compass.

While the show will take place at night, the fountains will be active during the daytime. The concept art shows a lot of fountain activity around the center barge, so it’s safe to say we will likely see more testing there in the future.

“Harmonious” replaces the fan-favorite “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.” The new nighttime show is slated to premiere later this year.
