Construction on the upcoming Arendelle: World of Frozen land at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort continues. Originally slated for 2021, the project was delayed due to COVID-19 closures, and a new opening date has yet to be announced. Thanks to a Hong Kong Disneyland fan account, @DMK_Blog, we can share photos of the latest progress.
The building for Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs rollercoaster is surrounded by scaffolding as steel and concrete continue to rise. The coaster track is still covered by green tarping.
Another view of Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs from above the construction site. The track curves to the side around the building and continues down. If this construction looks familiar, it’s because it is very similar to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom. The construction site at Magic Kingdom looked similar around 2012-2013.
Over in the village, work continues on the shops, restaurant, and Arendelle Castle.
More rockwork is in place, forming the mountain range that will hide the show building for Frozen Ever After, a clone of the EPCOT attraction.
