Hello from a bright and beautiful Magic Kingdom! We had an exciting day here, filled with construction updates and new merchandise collections. We have a lot to share with you, so let’s get started!
The facial recognition testing has concluded at the Magic Kingdom, and the data is being analyzed. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
One of The Confectionery’s windows has been partially cleared along Main Street, USA. We’ve been watching these windows for any changes, and will continue to monitor them as refurbishments continue.
Further into the park, we saw that the moat in front of Cinderella Castle had been refilled. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
In Tomorrowland, we found scrim fabric covering one wall just outside of the exit of Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. We’ll be keeping an eye on this area to see how this develops.
Progress has been made on Cool Ship, with additional painting and patching done on the legs, while the screen in the cut out rings is taped off to protect it.
The roof of Dumbo the Flying Elephant has been cleaned, potentially in preparation for repainting.
The ticket booth-style entry areas have had their repainting completed. The signs for these booths have not been repainted, however.
The final two awnings in the queue for The Barnstormer have been removed from their frames. We’ll be keeping an eye on this area to see how things develop.
New pavement work has been found in Fantasyland near Friar’s Nook, encompassing a large area near some stonework.
Along with the second set of butterflies still not working, the African elephant animatronics on Jungle Cruise were not functioning today.
The Trader Sam platform at the end of the attraction has seen a bit of a topography change, along with the addition of a new camouflage tarp towards the left of the space. We look forward to it’s full transformation.
We found a slight change in the menu to Aloha Isle. While the souvenir Tiki Sipper isn’t a new item, you can now get the Kakamora Float in the sipper for $11.99, instead of only the Pineapple Float.
The Baby Care Center has moved to a temporary location next to The Carousel of Progress ahead of the original location’s refurbishment. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.

After perusing the new collections at The Emporium, we found two new women’s shirts featuring rhinestone versions of Mickey and Minnie. These shirts retail for $39.99 each.
In accessories, we found this new Alex and Ani bracelet featuring a blue Minnie ear headband, which retails for $44.99.
If flair is your style, we found this new “Lady and the Tramp” open edition pin set also at The Emporium for $15.99.
In a similar style to the snacks Loungefly mini backpack from last year but in black and red, we found this chibi Mickey and park snacks card holder at The Emporium for $14.99.
We found two new Limited Edition MagicBands at The Emporium today, starting with this “Best Disney Dad” band. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The second one we found was this “Atlantis: The Lost Empire” MagicBand. With an edition size of only 500, we’re sure these will sell out quick. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Over in Tomorrowland at the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co, we found a few new shirt designs in the MaDe kiosk. The first new design featured Sorcerer Mickey and his enchanted broom along with the phrase, “How About A Little Magic”.
We also found three rainbow designs available, one a rainbow Mickey head with a castle silhouetted on it, and the others Star Wars designs. All shirts star at $29.99 and are customizable.
At Sir Mickey’s, we found a new Princess crown collection had arrived to match the recently released Castle Collection Princess dresses. The centerpieces of each crown matches the brooch on the corresponding dress.
Not all of the Princesses have arrived yet, so we’ll be watching for the remaining crowns to appear. Each crown retails for $17.95.

We found a new Pirates of the Caribbean short sleeve shirt at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar for $36.99.
Back at The Emporium, the nuiMOs Fashion Collection #3 had arrived, with the perfect outfits for summer, including a matching Hawaiian shirt to the summertime collection. Each outfit retails for $12.99.
Before heading home for the day, we headed to some nearby resorts. First we headed to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where we found two new pairs of lounge pants at Bay View Gifts, both retailing for $36.99 each.
Then we headed to Disney’s Polynesian Resort, where we found this pastel tie dye Mickey headband at Boutiki for $13.99.
