PHOTO REPORT: Universal Orlando Resort 4/29/21 (VelociCoaster Technical Rehearsals Begin, Merchandise in the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, Bruce Returns with New Teeth, and More)
It’s an exciting day here at the Universal Orlando Resort! Team Member previews have started for the Jurassic World VelociCoaster ahead of Annual Passholder previews beginning Sunday, May 2nd. We made our way right to Jurassic Park at Islands of Adventure to check out all the excitement.
The Jurassic Park Discovery Center is still open for guests that are dining at the Burger Digs, but it has also been transformed into a new VelociCoaster gift shop. There’s even a raptor figure on one of the displays.
It was a hot day, and despite the attraction having technical difficulties, guests were lined up waiting for Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges to reopen.
We made our way over to Universal Studios Florida and found that the Mardi Gras merchandise has dropped to 50% off now. It’s time to grab a few of those items you’ve been waiting on. You can also apply your Annual Pass discount.
There’s some work happening on the street near where the Blues Brothers perform in Universal Studios Florida.
Bruce recently returned, but he was barricaded temporarily. Now, guests can walk up to him and take photos. Upon his return, he came back with new teeth. They’re soft and rubbery now.
More details have been added around the new Universal Studios Store in CityWalk. The outline of the Universal globe is on both sides of the building.
It’s been a busy day, so we’re going to get out of here. Thanks for joining us today around the parks and sure to stay tuned for more updates!
