Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared another look inside the Creations Shop today, this time featuring the circular light fixtures.
“Light is an important material in our new designs – a way of creating a feeling of openness and connection between all these new spaces and our broader World Celebration neighborhood,” said Riddley.
The light wells are designed to be reminiscent of the former CommuniCore skylights, using “radial and arc shapes to give order and a classic EPCOT aesthetic.” The lights will be using modern technology and “internally-lit elements” as part of a greater, company-wide sustainability effort.
The lights can be seen in the concept art for the new store. We’ve been tracking the construction of the new skylights during the ongoing renovations.
The Creations Shop and the adjacent Club Cool are set to open this summer at EPCOT.

No they were never skylights in the first place. They looked like this in the 80s
