Universal Orlando Resort Team Members No Longer Squirting The Hands of Guests with Sanitizer Before Boarding Attractions

Two weeks ago Universal Orlando Resort removed temperature screening stations and reduced physical distancing. Today, an additional health and safety protocol has changed. Team Members are no longer squirting guests’ hands with sanitizer as they board attractions.

Signs located throughout Universal Orlando Resort had previously been changed to indicate the reduced physical distancing of 3 feet.

The hand sanitizer policy now states “Hand sanitizer available.”

The signs were not reprinted. Instead, Universal applied stickers over the previous policy. This policy change may slightly shorten attraction load times.

What do you think of this change to Universal Orlando Resort policy? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I really didn’t mind the idea of them squirting the hand sanitizer, but what ever brand they used STUNK SO BAD!!! Maybe that means it works???

  2. The sanitizer they were using during my visit in February was the nastiest hand sanitizer I’d ever used.

  3. My child just came back from her senior class trip to Florida to all the resorts and her whole class came back positive for Covid! It’s too soon to do no masks with only first half of the doses only given to half the people. She brings it home to PA and I just had surgery.
