Hello from a hot but lovely day here at EPCOT! We got lucky again today and the rain that we were supposed to get all afternoon held off long enough for us to get a good look around the park and find all the new things to show you. Let’s get started!
When we entered the park, we noticed that Points of Light had been installed on the bottom of Spaceship Earth. This patch currently doesn’t connect with the rest of the Points of Light covering the surface of the park’s icon, but it’s a significant step towards completion of this project, which hasn’t seen an update in some time. Nearby in the construction zone for the future Creations Shop and Club Cool, these ceiling elements were having the next phase of construction completed with the sides being mounted as we watched.
On the other side of Project Tomorrow across the construction wall, the Journey of Water area has reached an important construction milestone by finally going vertical. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
In World Showcase Lagoon, we found the Harmonious Ring barge testing it’s arms, fountains, and lights all together this morning.
We saw colored lights, as well as white spot lights, and watched as the arms fountains changed pressure and the arms made slow, period movements. For more pictures and information, including a video of the testing, check out our article here.
Around World Showcase in the Morocco Pavilion, new lamps have been installed behind the planter construction wall, replacing the original larger lamps that hung here. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We found Jardin de Fiestas, the Flower & Garden Festival food booth in the Mexico Pavilion, closed once again today. No official word as to why it has been closed or when it will reopen.
We found a new Spirit Jersey bucket hat today in Mint Green at Gateway Gifts for $34.99.
While at Pin Traders, this Jerrod Maruyama Mystery Pin Set caught our eye. Each box contains two randomly selected pins, and each box retails for $15.99.
