Hello from an overcast but beautiful day at the Magic Kingdom! While it was muggy and hot, we at least had dry weather to check out all the new things at the park today. Let’s get started!
On our way in through the Transportation and Ticket Center, we found a new A-frame sign at the entrance to the Monorail reminding guests that face masks are required while onboard transportation.
While there, we saw a few Cast Members taking advantage of the new rule that fully vaccinated Cast Members working outside may remove their face masks. It was wonderful to see their smiling faces!
Once inside the park, we found significant progress has been made on the netting installation across the top of the illuminated canopy at TRON Lightcycle / Run. The netting can now be seen clearly from Fantasyland.
We found planters pushed up against the wall in the courtyard of Be Our Guest Restaurant. It was unclear what they were covering, if anything.
While riding Jungle Cruise, we found new props had been added to the sunken boat in the “Hippo Pool” scene, including a few crates and a life preserver.
The Lunching Pad was closed this morning due to technical difficulties.
After checking construction and logistical updates, we turned our attention to merchandise. We found a new Limited Edition “The Rocketeer” pin available at the Frontier Trading Post for $19.99.
At Tomorrowland Light & Power Co., in the MaDe kiosk, we found a new design across all three available items with this “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” 40th Anniversary design. MagicBands start at $24.99, phone cases start at $29.99, and magnets start at $14.99, and most are customizable. We also found a few other designs which have been available in person for some time but have finally come to the MaDe kiosk.
Our favorite find of the day was this merchandise line for the new movie “Luca”, including a Limited Edition MagicBand. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Next, we headed over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort where we found this delicious Father’s Day Bacon Cupcake. For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here.
At Disney Springs, we found two new desserts at Amorette’s Patisserie, the first of which was this delicious Pina Colada Cheesecake, complete with Rum pipette.
After that, we tried the new “I Am Your Father” petit cake from Amorette’s Patisserie, and we have to say, this cake is impressive to look at! We personally preferred the cheesecake, but we loved the presentation of this piece. Be sure to check out the full review!
We had a wonderful time at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along. Have a magical day!
