It’s a great, big, beautiful…today! Welcome to another lovely morning at Walt Disney World. In our adventures today we found lots of brand new additions all around the parks and resorts, so lets jump in!
This morning when we hopped on the Monorail, we immediately noticed some brand new “Please Wait Here” markers had been added. After talking to Cast Members, we found that they are now boarding parties in groups of three, with two sitting and one standing. Standing was previously discouraged altogether and sections were limited to two guests at a time.
On board the Jungle Cruise, we made lots of new discoveries. A brand new shack named “Boats & Baits and Bites!” has been added, and with that addition comes new jokes for skippers to tell. One of those include “Here at Boats & Baits and Bites you can stop by and rent boats, kayaks…either oar.” You can find one of the other new jokes on our Twitter here.
The iconic 1994 “Gear” floor continues to be replaced with generic pavement in Tomorrowland.
While in Tomorrowland, we noticed some awesome Goofy custodial water art created by talented Cast Member Matt!
Gaston’s Fountain outside of Gaston’s Tavern still seems to be running dry even after a whole week of down time. We hope to see the self-proclaimed “pure paragon” return to his former state soon.
“It’s a good, good, good, good time” with Mickey and Friends on Main Street, U.S.A!
As we bid farewell to Mickey, we headed over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The first thing we saw was even more progress being made on the porte-cochère roof. Corrugated panels continue to be added to the structure to frame the colorful centerpiece that was added at the end of May.
In addition to the porte-cochère, corrugated panels are also being added to the Monorail Station roof itself. For now, they can only be seen on the front section.
We found that even more of the large lawn has been walled off, as construction behind the Great Ceremonial House continues to expand.
Inside the Great Ceremonial House, we found a brand new “Just Chillax!” Stitch T-Shirt for sale. This shirt features everyone’s favorite mischievous blue alien from Lilo & Stitch(2002) lounging with a pair of red sunglasses. It is for sale at Moana Mercantile for $24.99.
That brings us to the end of our day at Walt Disney World. How do you feel about all of the updated Jungle Cruise scenes? Make sure to leave us a comment below and let us know! “Farewell, and Aloha to you” until next time!
