Exterior painting has begun on the Creations Shop. The retail location is coming this summer to the former home of Mouse Gear. Imagineer Zach Riddley gave a sneak peek of the paint colors just two days ago. A new façade has also been constructed above the breezeway.

Paint crews are using small rollers to paint the gaps between the façade panels.

The current pale purple paint is being covered.

This section has been completely painted. It definitely reminds us of what building used to look like many years ago, long before the “patchwork” paint job of the 2000’s.

In this area, work is progressing from left to right.

Scaffolding surrounds the structure to allow paint crews to reach all areas.

The upcoming World Celebration popcorn kiosk sits just in front of the construction area.

The breezeway façade is a perfect match to the existing roofline, restoring it to its pre-Innoventions look.

  1. Looks great! Interesting how East is being restored more closely to its original look like West was completely demolished. The symmetry of the two together was nice – too bad they couldn’t come up with a way to reuse that space.
