It’s officially summer, which means Creations Shop and Club Cool should be opening this season at EPCOT. We’ve had glimpses inside the new flagship merchandise location thanks to Imagineer Zach Riddley, and now we’re starting to see through some of the store’s windows.
New framing has been installed around this doorway. Right now it’s grey, but will likely be painted with more interesting colors soon. The windows to either side of the plywood doors are uncovered, giving us a small look at the construction going on inside.
Tarp has been removed from some other windows and doorways as well.
More sections of the roof overhang and supports are being primed with grey ahead of a full repainting. The doors in this picture also have a plywood frame waiting to be finished.
The large windows and sliding glass doors are meant to give Creations Shop a more open and airy feeling than Mouse Gear before it.
Through some of the windows on the right, we can see an interior wall painted with hues of green, blue, and yellow.
Here’s a look at what Creations Shop will ultimately look like. Though not exactly the same, the murals here resemble the one seen through the windows.
Scaffolding has been moved away from the bypass where Club Cool is being constructed.
Work on the overhang is moving to the future location of Starbucks and a quick-service restaurant.
On the other side of the building, most of the overhang has been repainted. Some panels are still missing, though.
Some blue stands out in the middle of the creamy white.
A few wires dangle from the ceiling.
At one end of Creations Shop—near the new popcorn kiosk—landscaping remains to be done.
A black wall has been erected to keep the rest of the construction site out of view after Creations Shop does open.
