We cooked ourselves up an appetite the size of a T. rex today while out in the park, so we decided to make our way over to Jurassic Café to try out their Citrus Glazed Chicken.
Citrus Glazed Chicken – $17.99
Cranberry chimichurri, papaya slaw, served with rice and beans
Unlike its sister park in Orlando, guests are still required to wear masks at the Hollywood park.
This meal was okay, nothing too special here. Starting with the citrus chicken, it’s a very good portion size and comes out steaming hot. Unfortunately the heat did not help as it was a little bland and dry. The citrus flavor was very strong in some bites and others tasted like nothing.
The cranberry chimichurri saved the flavor. While the cranberry was prominent there was a bit of subtle sweetness. Mainly it added a tangy garlic taste to the chicken which was great. It was a bit oily but not enough to complain.
The rice and beans were an okay side, but we think a salad would have gone great with this chicken instead. We only ended up eating a quarter of the rice and beans, is it felt more of a filler for space on the plate.
Overall we were disappointed with this menu option. We would recommend both other sandwiches we previously reviewed from Jurassic Café before this plate.
