Happy Pride Month! To celebrate the occasion, Walt Disney World has new merchandise and limited-time treats. At Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT, we tried the Mickey Rainbow Dome Cake.
Mickey Rainbow Dome Cake – $5.95
Tres leches mousse and toasted coconut dome with mirror glaze
The presentation is cute, though not the most creative design.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get much flavor out of this cake. We had to look up the description to see what we were supposed to be tasting.
The white chocolate ears have more flavor than the rest of the dessert.
We could taste some of the tres leches in the mousse, but it was very light. The whole thing was sweet and not necessarily bad, just not very strong.
If you want cute dessert pictures for Pride Month, then it’s not a bad choice, but otherwise, we would skip it.
Will you be trying this cake? Let us know in the comments.
Glad that Disney was one of the first companies to offer benefits to same-sex partners and continues to support the LGBTQ+ community. Some companies just fly the flag every year to make a buck, this one walks the walk all year.
I see this was already downvoted. Well, if you’re still giving money to this company and/or reading sites like WDWNT that give free exposure and in-turn revenue to the company, carry on.
