Walt Disney World Testing Fireworks Before July 1st Return

Before the July 1st return of fireworks to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT at Walt Disney World, the parks will be conducting tests on June 26th and 28th. Nearby communities have alerted their residents to the testing, as Disney has not run fireworks for over a year.

Communities near Walt Disney World often consider the fireworks to be a perk as they can often view them from their neighborhoods. Disney notifies these communities of changes to firework schedules to prevent any alarm.

Guests have been eagerly awaiting the announcement that fireworks will return to Walt Disney World, especially in light of the continual relaxing of mask requirements and physical distancing. We learned yesterday that Happily Ever After will return to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Forever will return to Epcot on July 1. Times for both nighttime spectaculars were released as well.

  1. Glad to see the fireworks starting again. One of the best things Disneyvhas to offer. Have 2 trips already planned this year.

  2. Do you know what times they plan on testing? Our last night at the parks is the 28th and we’re hoping we’ll be able to watch the fireworks from inside the park that night :)

    • It’s our park day as well! At least hoping it’ll be shortly enough after park close to watch from across the lake.
