The Jungle Cruise continues to provide more updates for adventurous skippers visiting the Magic Kingdom. The latest change greets guests just as the enter the main queue, as a freshly modified sign has been posted.

Pictured here is a photo of the former sign. The letters were filled in with red paint and rest on a natural wood background. A native mask with spears is placed in the top center.

Now, the letters are painted a darker shade of red and white, and rest against a green background. The mask and spears have been replaced with a boat’s wheel and oars.

It looks like a crocodile may have taken a bite out of the oar on the right as well.

In the center of the boat’s wheel is a golden Jungle Navigation Co. logo.

  1. What in the hell will Disney do with the rest of Adventureland. The Poly? It’s a small world? Indiana Jones (show/area/DL attraction)? There are tribal masks everywhere. They can’t put monkeys and boat ephemera everywhere. I mean… can they?

    Ugh. It’s too much.

  2. The new colors will work well with the Jingle Cruise also! Looks good and true to the character of the ride.

  3. Thank you for changing that sign and helping me becoming more culturally aware of peoples feelings and surroundings. I will take this knowledge and spread it throughout my neighborhood and city. Doing that made such an impact and will make a difference in the future and how I feel when i visit Adventureland.

  4. The new sign is very attractive, but I don’t like for them to change things at Disneyland! Everybody’s just trying to be politically correct nowadays and I don’t like it!

  5. I think it’s a lovely new sign, very pleasant and fits the theme of the ride well! Glad to see Disney taking cultural sensitivities more into account, especially in small ways like this that have no negative impact on visitors, but may be much more comfortable for others. Win-win!

  6. “A business making changes to its product in efforts to avoid further offense to some as well as open up opportunities for them to persue different creative avenues… really offends me!”

There’s no winning with “fans” of anything anymore. Every fandom, same sourness.

  7. Disney Get Your Act together
Why are you taking everything down and changing the names and the rides
It’s just a shame that you would change something just because someone got their little feelings hurt
What about my feelings and my memories of Disney
You don’t have anything for the elders to ride
How about doing something about that
And put the Hollywood Great movie back
that was one of the only rides Elders could ride
Take that jerk your neck mouse ride out
