A mysterious steel structure has gone vertical outside TRON Lightcycle / Run at the Magic Kingdom. The structure is within the upcoming roller coaster’s worksite but is possibly related to the refurbishment of the Walt Disney World Railroad.
Between the regular fence and the construction wall, stacks of synthetic ties for the track are staged. The track has to be rerouted to accommodate TRON Lightcycle / Run.
The new structure of red steel is possibly for the Walt Disney World Railroad, given that the track will still pass nearby the new coaster, as seen in the concept art below.
The train can be seen on the left edge of the art.
At this time, the Walt Disney World Railroad is still scheduled to be closed for the 50th anniversary of Magic Kingdom on October 1.
