PHOTOS: Tomorrowland Pavement Refurbishment Now Extends Past Entrance Archway at the Magic Kingdom

The refurbishment of Tomorrowland’s pavement continues to be on the move at the Magic Kingdom.

Since our last report, the work leading up to and under the entrance archway has seemingly been completed, with a darker strip running down the middle of the walkway, with lighter-shaded concrete on the sides.

With the final 1994 gear removed, we now see the new look under the archway, which features a light-colored “diamond” shape surrounded by darker concrete.

We now know that the work doesn’t stop at the archway. Scoring now appears on the ground leading to the park Hub.

The scoring suggests that the tan and brick-colored pavement will also be removed, or at least a significant section of it.

It’s currently unknown if it will also follow the dark-and-light gray pattern of Tomorrowland or if it will match the aesthetic of Main Street, U.S.A.

The triangular pattern extending from the archway suggests that it could be Tomorrowland-themed.

Still, it’s exciting to see just how the new look for Tomorrowland is coming together in time for the park and Walt Disney World’s fiftieth anniversary!
