We bring you a lot of stories every single day. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up. So in case you missed anything from our feed, we have rounded up all our stories in one place to get the news at a glance. Here is your Daily Recap for Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- It was an exciting day here at the park, and well worth the heat for the news we found in our photo report.
- Refurbishment has begun on the Adventureland sign in Magic Kingdom as part of Disney’s ongoing process of removing culturally insensitive elements from the parks.
- The façade of Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom is being refurbished ahead of the park’s 50th anniversary, and we caught workers power washing the castle.
- A mysterious steel structure has gone vertical outside TRON Lightcycle / Run at the Magic Kingdom.
- Join us again as we venture throughout Magic Kingdom to see what lies ahead in another photo report.
EPCOT
- Back at the end of June, we reported on new lights being installed on the ceiling of the Innoventions Breezeway at EPCOT, and now we’ve spotted these lights turned on for testing inside the area.
- With the EPCOT monorail line now running again for guests, we decided to take advantage of the new viewpoint once again to check in on the slowly-moving construction happening at the site of the Moana-inspired Journey of Water attraction.
- Imagineer Zach Riddley has taken to Instagram once again to share a behind the scenes look at the ongoing construction in the new World Celebration neighborhood, including the Creations Shop.
Disney Springs
- Ahead of the official premiere of Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt on July 30, Disney Springs has added a new photo-op area near the AMC Dine-In Theatre.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Earlier this year, we reported that 200 more Disney Vacation Club Villas are coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in 2022. A permit filed for “general construction” at the resort is the first indication that work is set to begin.
Disney Cruise Line
- A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of removing the pandemic restrictions for cruises sailing out of Florida, but it’s important to remember that the Disney Cruise Line is entitled to set their own rules and regulations on board.
New Merchandise
- The new Casey’s Corner Baseball Jersey at Walt Disney World is a home run! We found this classically stylish jersey in the Dress Shop section of Marketplace Co-op and in DisneyStyle at Disney Springs.
- A new Loungefly baseball cap inspired by The Haunted Mansion Funko POP! figures has made its eerie arrival at Memento Mori in the Magic Kingdom.
- New character-inspired travel bags and backpacks by Titleist are also now available at Walt Disney World pro golf shops.
- If you’re looking to top off your next park outfit, look no further! Three new baseball caps have arrived at World of Disney in Disney Springs.
