Hello and welcome to a magical day at Walt Disney World! Join us as we venture throughout Magic Kingdom to see what lies ahead. Let’s jump in!

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” – Walt Disney

We started off our day by visiting the man and mouse themselves, Walt Disney and Mickey, at the iconic “Partners” statue. This landmark is currently receiving routine care in preparation for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration.

We saw very large “rope drop” crowds at Magic Kingdom this morning.

While you’re in Adventureland, make sure to take a trip on the World Famous Jungle Cruise, but before you climb aboard, take a moment to notice the updated entrance sign above the attraction. Today, we saw the addition of new writing on the sign that reads “World-Famous Jungle Cruise Tours.”

Many foolish mortals will be very excited to hear that Master Gracey’s portrait, located inside The Haunted Mansion, has returned to its original state of facing left! The portrait had faced left since the opening of the attraction in 1971 until a refurbishment in 2007 that switched the direction of the iconic photo. Now, in the year 2021, the portrait has been restored to its original orientation.

Refurbishment continues at Be Our Guest Restaurant in preparation for the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Deeper into Fantasyland, we found that the Ariel’s Grotto sign had been mysteriously removed. Although you cannot currently meet the lovable mermaid in her grotto, we hope to see the return of a refurbished sign soon.

Anastasia and Drizella decided to strike some “lovely” poses for us today.

Take a look as construction rapidly progresses on TRON Lightcycle / Run over in Tomorrowland. We cannot wait to climb aboard once the attraction finally opens!

If you were looking forward to blasting the Evil Emperor Zurg along with Buzz Lightyear and pals on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, then you might have been disappointed to find that the attraction is currently under refurbishment, at least until July 23rd. New signage has been added to the doors alerting guests of the closure.

We stopped by to say Aloha to Stitch before leaving Magic Kingdom.

Onboard the Monorail, we noticed that all tarps had been removed from the exterior of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. We took a trip around the resort to see what other updates might be in store!

On the ground floor, several “pardon our appearance” signs have been placed throughout the lobby. Guests are now being directed to check in on the second floor of the resort. We can also see that the former entrance to The Wave has been covered in black curtains.

We found the addition of signage prohibiting the use of photography, video recording, & live streaming. This same type of sign appeared on roads used by guests near Magic Kingdom earlier this month.

Over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we were surprised to see that all construction walls located near Pineapple Lanai had been removed. This area is now completely open and refurbished; it looks beautiful!
That brings us to the end of our day! We hope you enjoyed following us around Walt Disney World. Which of the many refurbishments are you most excited to see completed? Leave us a comment below, letting us know! Have a great day; we’ll “See ya real soon!”
That girl who play drizzles was working the diner in 2018 when we took our 3 year old twins to DW fir the first time.
I am glad to see she is doing the character all of them did such a great job!
Last March, Drizella and Anastasia rushed past us while we waited to enter Be Our Guest. A bird whizzed past Drizella’s head, she reacted quickly, and instantly remarked that “that bird tried to hit me!” Such a quick retort with the proper snarky face to match her disgust! It was a perfect whoosh, whoa, what? Humph! reaction.
