Buffets Returning to Crystal Palace and Biergarten Restaurant at Walt Disney World

Get your appetite ready, more buffets will be returning to Walt Disney World soon.

Beginning August 29, Biergarten Restaurant in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT will once again offer a buffet-style lunch and dinner. Featured menu items will include Bavarian favorites such as pretzel rolls, bratwurst, spätzle, schnitzel, and a variety of desserts, including apple strudel and black forest rolls. Take a look at our review of the family style dining that has been in place at Biergarten Restaurant since it reopened last month.

Returning September 12, The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park will offer a buffet lunch and dinner as well. Featured menu items will include Parker House rolls, create-your-own fresh garden salad, seared pork tenderloin, fire-roasted prime rib, braised beef short ribs, and more. We also stopped by The Crystal Palace to see how their new menu was when they reopened last December.

Are you excited for the return of buffets? Let us know in the comments below. And don’t miss our review of another buffet that has recently reopened — Boma.

  1. I have some good friends who recently went to the Biergarten for dinner(we all have been many times but I was unable to go this last time) and they said they much preferred the non-buffet experience. Fewer people walking around, you could enjoy the show, service was fast. They said the CMs they spoke with liked it much better as well. So it’s a pity it’s returning to a buffet style.

  2. I’m so glad I went to both of these restaurants on a recent trip while they were still doing the family style food delivery.
I’ve never been a fan of paying for expensive meals where I “serve myself”.
Especially after witnessing a kid sneezing into a community hot plate.😂

  3. to be honest, having been to crystal palace and biergarten, the food was really not that great. i realize most german food is rather bland, but it was worse than a little bland. the schnitzel did not even have some salt on it. at least not some that someone could actually taste. pork without some salt is not too good folks.

  4. Yes, we are thrilled to see buffets coming back. We have done the Bier Garden and Boma’s Dinner. Unless Boma has changed drastically and service upgraded we’ll never be back for dinner anyway. We have made a reservation twice and cancelled twice at Crystal Palace. I hope they go all out on food quality for the 50th because sandwiches are not going to cut it.
