Hello and welcome to a rainy day at EPCOT! Join us as we traverse the weather and take a trip around the world and into the future. Let’s jump in!
We started our day by hopping aboard The EPCOT Monorail. Take a birds-eye view of the many ongoing construction areas throughout the park.
While walking under the beautiful Spaceship Earth, we found that the construction tarp that previously surrounded part of the queue area had been removed. This area now holds various plants, palm trees, and signage that informs guests about the attraction. We very recently saw the return of these iconic tall palm trees surrounding the area.
We’ve seen lots of progress at Creations Shop and the re-imagined Club Cool in preparation for their grand opening.
The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival may have started last month, but not every booth has had its chance to shine just yet. One of those booths would be Mac & Eats, which is set to serve up delicious dishes starting on October 1. Today, we can see the booth start prepping for its eventual debut!
Liquid Layer is once again offering a refreshing place to cool down and beat the summer heat. We found that the mist stations have even returned this time around as well.
Get ready to join some of your favorite heroes on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! We continue to see construction on the upcoming attraction, and today we found that the third row of roof paneling installation has begun.
We headed over to World Showcase, where we found certain festival booths unavailable because of the weather. Luckily, these booths opened up later in the day.
Say hola to this adorable new Alebrije Dante Disney Babies Plush! Baby Dante is swaddled tight in a blanket, but he displays all of his beautiful alebrije coloring and patterns once unwrapped! This “Coco”-themed plush flew into the Mexico Pavilion today, and is available for $34.99.
The rain stopped long enough for Anna and Elsa to come out and enjoy the summer sun!
We continued onwards towards China, where just yesterday we were very surprised to find that Nine Dragons Restaurant had reopened!
Over in Japan, we were very happy to see that the flags for Kawaii: Japan’s Cute Culture had been given a tiny makeover! Though the flags still display the same design, they have been given a much-needed cosmetic update. They now look cuter than they have in a while!
That brings us to the end of our day. We hope you enjoyed coming along with us as much as we enjoyed being there! What would you like to see return at EPCOT next? Leave us a comment letting us know. We’ll “see ya real soon.”
