After abruptly closing earlier this month due to badly-needed structural repairs, the Caro-Seuss-el refurbishment is underway in earnest. We stopped by Seuss Landing in Universal’s Islands of Adventure to check in on the progress.

The Caro-Seuss-el is a fun twist on the classic carrousel, with a multicolored menagerie of fantastical creatures. The creatures have been left in place during the refurbishment, with scaffolding erected around the outside of the rotating platform area.

Not all of the scaffolding is complete as yet. Warning signs are hung to prevent workers from stepping onto a platform that is still under construction.

Scaffolding is also being constructed out into the queue area.

A Team Member told us that while no opening date is set, the refurbishment will likely last “weeks,” and Universal hopes to have the ride open by the holiday season.
