Many areas around the Magic Kingdom are getting a bit of a touch-up to look their best for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary this October. The pavement in Tomorrowland has been under refurbishment as it is pulled out piece-by-piece to be replaced with a new color scheme. Fantasyland had its rockwork pavement replaced in the Spring. And now it appears that Adventureland is next up for a replacement as a strip of pavement has been pulled up and replaced in front of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
The grey stone pavement has been pulled up in this section and replaced with a pale jungle green. This is similar if not the same color that Adventureland’s pavement was in the 1970’s, a nice nod to the history of the park as it celebrates its anniversary.
The new green pavement is textured with stones added in to give it a more natural feel.
