Keep your eyes on The Highway in the Sky. Monorail Gold has returned to service after a refurbishment. Like Monorail Orange and Red before it, most of the work done to Gold is on the inside. Let’s take a look.
The gold stripe has a black pinstripe top and bottom.
Unlike Monorail Orange and Red, black deltas have not been added to Monorail Gold. The deltas are usually added beneath each car’s large, center window. It is possible that the deltas could be added in the future.
The interior has been refurbished.
New labels have been applied above the doors.
The most noticeable difference is the gold artwork added above the benches at each end of the car.
Retro Walt Disney World logo ‘Ds’ create a pattern around the text.
A gold stripe with black pinstripes has been added around the top of the car.
The carpet on the doors appears to be new.
The front and rear benches are identical.
The bold, new graphics provide an interesting way to frame a photo, even on a rainy day.
