After closing during the parks shutdown of 2020, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor has finally reopened to the public today. The long-awaited reopening is a huge step forward after many live entertainment Cast Members were laid off in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic closures. The attraction has been in rehearsal for the last couple of weeks and today it opened to the public amid long lines of excited guests.
This morning, the standby line extended all the way back to Tomorrowland Terrace.
The long wait paid off when the attraction opened at noon. It will run for most of the rest of the day.
The joke line is back up and operating. Guests are invited to text their jokes in to the show and help power Monstropolis with laughter.
Masks are currently required indoors at all attractions, and signs remind guests of this.
These classic corny gags are as good as ever and all the monsters hit the high notes with groaner puns and hilarious comebacks.
We’re excited to have Monsters Inc Laugh Floor open once again at Magic Kingdom. Take a look at our video of the full show below:

I just love The Laugh Floor. A unique attraction. And there are always some new jokes and some improvisation. And there’s Mike Wazowski (and as he says, it’s spelled with one “eye”).
