Despite World Princess Week starting tomorrow, August 23, Disney has ended the Princess Promenade cavalcade. Princess Promenade was the last remaining cavalcade at EPCOT. The character cavalcade has been removed from the Walt Disney World website.
Rather than seeing princesses and other characters travel by carriage through World Showcase, guests will now be able to meet characters at physically distanced locations.

Couldn’t we have had both? There are enough princesses to do both, if not just add Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck it Ralph. She’s both a princess and a meetable character.
The cavalcades are really fun, but the distanced meet-and-greets seem like the better option for having the characters out and about, so this is probably a good change. A little bit closer to being able to meet the characters normally.
