While travelling around the world today at EPCOT, we stopped off for a cool treat to beat the heat. The Refreshment Outpost in the Africa Pavilion features hot dogs, frozen slushies, special items for the EPCOT International Food & Wine festival and now, a watermelon and pineapple Dole Whip option.

Watermelon-Pineapple Swirl Dole Whip — $5.25

This is a great swirl. The watermelon isn’t artificial or overly sweet — it tastes like actual watermelon, which we really liked.

We had the watermelon Dole Whip at Disney Springs not long ago, and it’s a great complement to the classic pineapple Dole Whip without overpowering each other. Some bites tasted more like watermelon, some bites taste more like pineapple, but each flavor was distinct.

This sweet treat is served with the option of a waffle cone on top, but we went coneless to see all the beautiful swirling colors in that classic soft serve shape.

It melts really quickly in the warm August-in-Florida heat, but that didn’t bother us because whether you eat it or drink it, this is a delicious treat.
