Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Boarding Groups Open All Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Boarding groups were still available for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance until 30 minutes before Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed at 9:00 PM today. They were still available until an hour before park close on August 15.

This was the latest boarding groups have ever remained available, impressive considering the ride’s popularity and frequent technical issues. A total of 186 groups boarded before the end of the day.

We know that Walt Disney World has raised its park and ride capacities. Today was also less busy overall at the parks, sossibly due to school restarting this month and a large storm in Central Florida today. According to Thrill-Data, wait times at Disney’s Hollywood Studios did not surpass an average of 33.5 minutes today.

  1. And today is Friday, too! Not just midweek! Well, it’s all thanks to Delta’s rising, of course. And storm. All that add up to be a perfect time to skip WDW.

  2. You know, if this ever happens when the Galactic Starcruiser’s guests are visiting Batuu, they won’t feel so good seeing that that 3K per night trip is giving them a ride that is free and available to everybody else too. But then, Disney is going to make RotR a paid fastpass anyway. So people have to pay a few dollars (compared to 3K) to get on RotR. Again, makes the SW hotel so totally not worth it.
