BREAKING: New “Finding Nemo” Musical Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022

Disney has announced that a new, updated Finding Nemo: The Musical show is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022.

The previous show has permanently closed and will be replaced by the new version next year. The original cast was notified their show was discontinued, so this will likely be a fresh casting. It will be a completely new show, as many of the props, puppets, and stage dressings were destroyed or are being used for parts for the new staging.

More information is upcoming, but the show will feature “new story material” and “fan-favorite songs such as ‘In the Big Blue World’ and ‘Go with the Flow.'” The Disney Live Entertainment team is still developing the new musical. No opening date has been announced.

  1. personally don’t care too much because this show was mediocre at best but i know the nutcases are gonna come at tom for misleading info despite the info he got was it was permanently closed

  2. what?! an updated Finding Nemo: The Musical show is coming to Walt Disney World!? no way, i can’t believe it, but even though it’s a new and updated version, the Finding Nemo show is returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!!

  3. Awesome! I believe they weren’t comfortable with the setup of the old show, mostly due to the isle use, not to mention the large cast in close proximity. I would imagine, just like Beauty and the Beast, this will be a more covid (and let’s not kid ourselves, budget, on Disney’s end) friendly show.

I would guess that this will come online just in time to help relieve Animal Kingdom for Spring Break, while Everest is closed, we’ll see. Here’s hoping, DAK will need any help that it can get without Everest. Marketing a “new” show will help too.

Wish the new cast and old the very best! Will miss the old performers!

  4. I love how this artical is New “Finding Nemo: The Musical” Show Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022 and not. Sorry everyone we got it wrong yesterday because there is no one here that fact checks anything before we post it, because we are just thirsty Disney news tolled that will most anything for a view weather true or not.

  5. Well I wrote it was sad that the old show was closing and am still concerned “new” means cheaper and less. I loved the old show, thought it was the best entertainment I saw at Disney besides the night time events. We will see if its “better”, though I would bet not. Still don’t plan to continue to support Disney after our “unrefunded” December trip.

  6. My friends were in the cast and have been told nemo is done and it is going to be part of the area needed for the new project along w all of chester and hester not just whirl! Sorry to disapoint but i look forward what other dinoland projects will come out of things personally was hoping for something w raya as it could fit dak.
