Over a year after its official closure was announced, demolition of Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is underway.
The FastPass+ sign and other signage has been removed from the shuttered attraction’s entrance.
Construction walls were erected earlier this month.
The dinos escaping the asteroid remain intact at the front of the coaster.
The neighboring Slamosaurus meet and greet backdrop is also surrounded by construction walls.
A significant portion of track was recently removed.
A Primeval Whirl sign was taken down with it.
Caution tape is across the bottom of the lift hill (as well as a soda cup).
The highest archway of the time travel lift was one of the first elements removed. It now sits in the center of the crumbling coaster.
There’s visible rust and grime on the coaster supports.
