The age of FastPass+ has ended, and the rollout of Lightning Lane signage has begun at EPCOT. The upcharge service, which is part of Disney Genie+, replaces the complimentary FastPass+ service, which allowed guests to skip the line at select attractions. The rollout comes on the same day as it began at the Magic Kingdom.
At The Land, Lightning Lane signage has already been installed at Living with the Land, though right now, the attraction has been closed for nearly two weeks.
Just steps away, the signs are also up at Soarin’ Around the World above the Alternative Access Entrance to the ride.
Much like at the Magic Kingdom, it seems the signage is going up first where it simply needs to be replaced with decals. More complex signage will likely follow in the near future.
Over at Imagination!, the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival also sports a new sign.
The Disney Genie and Genie+ programs are expected to debut later this fall.

when it was free fastpasses, it was separating the lucky from the unlucky few. now it is a sign of separating the priviledged few that can afford from the slobbering masses. i see conflict upon the horizon over this.
Oh boy! The wealthy people will not have to stand in line with the peasants anymore. They must be so happy.
Honestly do Living With the Land and the Pixar Shorts even need a Lightning Lane? The answer of course is “No” but I suppose if people choose those then maybe it keeps them from taking a pass to something better and ultimately that keeps Standby shorter on other attractions, so it’s a double-edged sword I suppose.
