La Crêperie de Paris is not officially open to guests, but the France Pavilion expansion is undergoing previews before the October 1 opening. Yesterday, we sampled each sweet and savory crêpe from the table service restaurant inside La Crêperie de Paris. Today we stopped by to try out the counter service outside the crêperie.
Cream of Brie Cheese Galette – $9.95
If you are a super fan of Brie, you may be fine with this crepe. There is a better cheesy crepe option on this menu. This one suffers from the dryness of the buckwheat crepe and too little filling to help out.
Ratatouille Galette – $8.95
The buckwheat crepe pairs well with the savory ingredients here. The diced veggies are well sized. Some savory veggie crepes can be mush inside, but not this one. The flavor is like a nice veggie pizza topping. I’d recommend it, but only if you like the buckwheat crepe.
Bechamel, Cheese & Ham Galette – $10.95
This one was a favorite on the savory side of the menu. Lots of creamy cheese mixed with a portion of diced ham kept the buckwheat crepe from feeling too dry, and there was enough filling to go with the entire crepe.
Butter & Sugar Crepe – $5.95
Simple yet perfect. All the crepes are perfectly cooked, and the mix of butter and sugar really let the crepe itself shine.
Housemade Hazelnut and Chocolate Crepe – $7.95
Chocolate lovers will be in heaven here. Every crevice of this sweet crepe is filled with the chocolate hazelnut spread. The spread is pretty standard but pairs well with these crepes for a delicious snack.
Red Berries Crepe – $7.50
An overly sweet crepe with an artificial tasting sugary topping. Inside are fantastic blueberries, which is odd given the name of the crepe. The flavor of the crepe and berries is overpowered by the sauce topping that feels like it belongs on a pop tart.
Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream Crepe – $6.95
The menu champion. As perfect as the butter and sugar version is, the addition of a heaping portion of soft serve on top takes it to another level. Eating this quickly in the Florida heat should be no issue for anyone!

I don’t think those were blueberries in my red berry crepe today. I believe they were lingonberries – which are red!
