Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream is ringing in the Halloween season with two returning treats, the Cookies & Candy Sundae (previously known as the Boogie Man Sundae) and Spiked Hard Apple Float, along with the new Halloween Ice Cream Bar at Disney California Adventure.

Halloween Ice Cream Bar – $5.69
Ice cream bar dipped in chocolate with chocolate accents and sprinkles

This is just your normal Clarabelle’s bar, which is always delicious. You can pick from vanilla or chocolate ice cream, and then milk chocolate or dark chocolate coating. We selected vanilla with dark chocolate. It’s not too sweet, and the crunchy chocolate coating is delicious. The Witch Minnie style is much more fun than your normal Mickey bar.
Cookies & Candy Sundae – $8.49
Scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream, hot fudge, chocolate cookie crumbles, and gummy candies in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone

In 2019, this was called the Boogie Man Sundae, but they’ve dropped the Nightmare Before Christmas name this year (though Oogie Boogie is still on the sign). It’s a mint chocolate chip sundae with Halloween candy, ultimately nothing special. If you like mint chocolate chip ice cream, you’ll love this, however. The candy is a nice, fun addition, with gummy worms, sprinkles, and candy corn pieces. It’s a good value and shareable if you’re with a group.
Spiked Hard Apple Float – $12
Hard apple cider and apple sorbet drizzled with caramel sauce

The cider was light and refreshing, while the apple sorbet was hard as a rock. It’s probably better when it’s hotter and can melt into it quicker, but the melted results made it all like an apple slush. The caramel reminds us of candied green apples, with a very sticky consistency, but overall, it’s very good. We loved the flavors here, and it’s a great boozy treat. Definitely pass by Clarabelle’s and give this a try.
