REVIEW: Universal Monsters – The Bride of Frankenstein Lives Haunted House at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 30

Halloween Horror Nights 30 has finally begun, and we’re here to (hopefully) get spooked. Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives was one of the daytime haunted house offerings last year after the regular event was canceled, but we expect the experience will be different this year with more actors and less plexiglass.

“‘We belong dead.’ The last words of Frankenstein’s monster when his Bride rejected him. Now she’ll stop at nothing to bring him back.”

The Bride of Frankenstein Lives picks up at the end of “The Bride of Frankenstein,” after Frankenstein’s Monster has attempted to kill the both of them. The Bride lives and will stop at nothing to resurrect her husband. She captures the Brides of Dracula in an attempt to harvest the secret to their immortality.

This house takes you through The Bride of Frankenstein’s laboratory as she conducts experiments and attempts to bring the monster back to life. It’s visually stunning with a lot to see. We found ourselves invested in the story even with all the action and scares. As fans of the classic monster movies, it’s nice to see the Bride have more time in the spotlight. The Classic Monsters gave life to Universal’s legacy of horror, and unlike 2014’s “Dracula Untold” house, it’s nice to see a successful expansion on those stories.
